SERVING THE COMMUNITY WITH OPEN HEARTS

Community Tuesday is a mission outreach program of Ashland First United Methodist Church.

Through a partnership with several local organizations, each week we are able to provide a safe, supportive and respectful environment where all are welcome.

Peace House (through Uncle Food’s Diner) provides a hot nutritious meal for our region’s homeless and underserved from 4:00 – 5:30 pm every Tuesday in Wesley Hall.

La Clinica brings their medical / dental mobile unit and offers services on a sliding scale from 1:00 – 5:00 pm on Tuesdays in our Church parking lot. Register in Wesley hall first.

Ashland Community Resource Center (ACRC) brings a shower and laundry trailer for our homeless and underserved. It too is parked in our Church parking lot directly behind La Clinica’s mobile unit, and is here from 1:00 – 5:00 pm on Tuesdays.

Ashland Emergency Food Bank (AEFB) donates food items for the Uncle Foods Diner meal

OHSU nursing students come to the church approximately once per month and provide free wellness checks, informational brochures and other valuable resources.

The Listening Post provides an opportunity for our guests to share their concerns, problems, frustrations and hopes with a compassionate listener.

Friends of The Animal Society (FOTAS) donates dog and cat food for homeless pets, as well as collars and leashes. They also encourage immunization and advocate proper pet care.
